GRANTS

The Superintendent shall be authorized by the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board to develop and submit applications for state, federal, industrial and/or foundation grants in keeping with the philosophy and policy of the School Board.  He/she shall inform the School Board and/or the appropriate School Board committee prior to the submission of the application as to the amount requested and the purpose to be served, demonstrating compatibility with ongoing programs.  He/she shall also make periodic reports to the School Board on the progress of any applications submitted.  The School Board shall exercise the right to disapprove and/or withdraw applications if it feels such applications submitted are not compatible with School Board philosophy or policy.
