The Iberia Parish School Board met in Regular Session at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Board Room at the Administrative Office, 1500 Jane Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
The President called the meeting to order. The Opening Prayer was given by Daniel Herron and the Pledge of Allegiance was given by Emilee LaSalle. Both individuals are students at North Lewis Street Elementary School.
CONSENT AGENDA –
Section D of the agenda is the Consent Agenda. Board members may remove any items for individual consideration.
There were no requests. The Consent Agenda remained as published.

AGENDA ITEM E2 - INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT - JEFFERSON ISLAND ELEMENTARY - WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT
Mr. McDonald moved, Mr. Fremin seconded, approval to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Iberia Parish - Waterworks District No. 3 (Coteau) for water system improvements for Jefferson Island Road Elementary, at an estimated cost of $150,000.00 for engineering and construction, as presented.
The motion was unanimously adopted.
AGENDA ITEM E3 - DECLARE BUILDING 23 SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZE DISPOSAL
Mrs. Segura moved, Mr. Dugas seconded, to adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION
Whereas, the Iberia Parish School Board, of the Parish of Iberia, State of Louisiana, has no further need or use for a certain property:
Building 23 - Acadiana Regional Airport Industrial Park - 502 Ember Drive, New Iberia, La, the School Board does hereby declare this property as no longer needed for school purposes and is hereby declared surplus in accordance with State law and authorizes the Superintendent to dispose of the property in accordance with State law regarding the sale of public property.
The resolution was unanimously adopted.
AGENDA ITEM E4 - REVISED SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - TURF FIELDS
Mr. Dugas moved, Mr. Dan LeBlanc seconded, that the Superintendent, pending approval of the 16th Judicial Court, Judge Paul DeMahy, re-advertise for bids to the attached parallel specifications, Turf Field Installation, Project No. 1018.
The motion was unanimously adopted.
AGENDA ITEM E5 - 10% of ½ CENT SALES TAX PER PUPIL DISTRIBUTION
Mr. Buford moved, Mr. Lockett seconded, approval of the staff recommendation to allocate the 10%of ½ Cent Sales Tax Distribution for 2015-16 at an amount of $52.00 per student, as presented.
The motion was unanimously adopted.
