The Iberia Parish School Board met in Regular Session at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Administrative Office, 1500 Jane Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
The First Vice-president chaired the meeting in the absence of the President. The Chairman called the meeting to order. The Opening Prayer was given by Mr. Henderson and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. McDonald.
CONSENT AGENDA –
Section E of the agenda is the Consent Agenda. Board members may remove any items for individual consideration.
There were no requests. The Consent Agenda remained as published.
CALL FOR BIDS –
The Chairman called three times for bids to be turned in for Bid No. 1021 - Loreauville High New Middle School Classroom Addition.

Moved by Mr. Lockett and seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION
A resolution giving preliminary approval to the issuance of not exceeding fifteen Million Dollars ($15,000,000) of General Obligation School Refunding Bonds, of Parishwide School District of the Parish of Iberia, State of Louisiana; making application to the State Bond Commission for approval of said Bonds; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.
The resolution was adopted on a vote of 11 Yeas, 0 Nays, 0 Abstaining, 3 Absent. Voting Aye were Mrs. Carrier, Mr. McDonald, Mr. Jolivet, Mr. Robbie LeBlanc, Mr. Dan LeBlanc, Mr. Lockett, Mr. Dugas, Mrs. Segura, Mrs. Rosamond, Mr. Segura and Mr. Fremin. Absent were Mr. Pradia, Mr. Buford and Rev. Alexander.
SECTION B - BID OPENING - BID NO. 1021 - LHS MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOM ADDITION
Mr. Dugas moved, Mr. Dan LeBlanc seconded, that bids received for Bid No. 1021 - Loreauville High Middle School Classroom Addition be opened and read.

Mrs. Rosamond moved, Mr. Lockett seconded, approval of the staff recommendation to acquire the services of Staples Engineering & Consulting, LLC to do the design, quotations, permitting and inspection of a new 20,000 gallon concrete plat to replace the Jeanerette Senior High Waste Water Treatment Plant, at an estimated budget of $124,000.00 with $7,200.00 for the engineering fees, as presented.
The motion was unanimously adopted.
Mr. Dan LeBlanc moved, Mr. Robbie LeBlanc seconded, approval of the staff recommendation to acquire the services of Trane Services to do a compressor change out and refurbishment on the U96 chiller at New Iberia Senior High, at a cost of $44,372.00, as presented.

AGENDA ITEM F4 - INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF NEW IBERIA - USE OF BUILDING 23 AND ADJACENT PARKING FOR STAGING OF EQUIPMENT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
Mr. McDonald moved, Mr. Dugas seconded, approval to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of New Iberia for the use of Building 23 and the adjacent parking, 502 Amber Drive, for equipment staging in emergency situations, as presented.
The motion was unanimously adopted.
